Screws and inserts
Kiteboard screws and inserts
The most common reason a session falls through is not a broken board — it is a lost screw. A spare set of screws, inserts and plugs belongs in every bag, along with an Allen key.
What you need
- Fin screws — the most commonly lost part.
- Pad and strap screws — longer, with a washer.
- Inserts and plugs — seal empty holes so water cannot get into the board.
- Adaptors — connect a fin or pad to a different fixing system.
Tip
Tighten screws moderately and check them before every session. Also see fins and pads and straps.
