The harness transfers all of the kite\u0027s power to your body, so comfort matters more than colour. We stock waist and seat harnesses from AK (Airush) and RRD, including women\u0027s models and versions with an integrated bar (\u201caerobar\u201d).
The harness should be snug but not painful — measure your waist circumference, not your trouser size. A properly fastened harness does not move when you pull the bar.
The classic hook is the most universal, while a rope slider is popular for strapless and wave riding because it allows sliding. All harnesses have a quick release for safe opening under load.

A seat harness has leg loops and cannot ride up — friendlier for beginners and long sessions. A waist harness gives more freedom of movement and better force transfer when jumping.

A harness must sit snugly on the lower ribs with no air pockets. If it rides up while riding, it is almost always too big or too loose — not too small. Sizing differs between brands, so send us your measurements.
A rigid ergonomic back that spreads the kite's pull over a larger area — the harness does not twist and rides up less. Softer models mould to your body and feel more flexible. Both have their place; a hard shell shows its worth under strong pull.
With most harnesses it is, though systems differ between brands. The product description says so for each model; some harnesses can be upgraded to a different closure system, for example the AK Aerobar.
