The Thrive LiteX is built for riders who refuse to miss a session. Whether you are chasing ultra-light winds on a foil or simply getting out before anyone else, it delivers when conditions seem impossible. Designed by Ralf Groesel and Aaron Hadlow, every detail has been optimised for light wind performance.
Ultra-light canopy, responsive tips
The centre section features the new 32 g/m² Lite_X canopy — the lightest LEI canopy material on the market — creating a parachute effect that extends hang time and keeps you powered in the faintest breeze. The wingtips use Harlem’s proven FlyLite material: crisper and more rigid, delivering fast, responsive turning and keeping the kite sharp and agile.
Harlem’s DNA construction
The PROWELD Dacron leading edge delivers structural stability without harshness — smooth and controlled even in gusty light wind. Laminated Mylar struts keep the frame ultra-light yet rigid, maintaining clean profiles and consistent shape session after session.
Optimised bridle system
Specifically tuned for ultra-low-end performance, the bridle delivers progressive, easy turning that extracts every last bit of power and ensures smooth, consistent delivery in the lightest winds.
3-strut lightweight design
A clean, efficient 3-strut construction keeps the kite as light as possible — maximising performance, responsiveness and float without unnecessary weight.
Sustainably made & fully customisable
Crafted and digitally printed at Brainchild Production in Europe using advanced sustainable materials and eco-conscious production methods. Fully customisable to your brand or style.
“I couldn’t believe it was even possible to ride in such light wind.”
— Aaron Hadlow, Harlem Kitesurfing product designer
If you want one kite for every condition, look at the Thrive V2; the LiteX complements it on light days. Pair it with the Rise board for the complete light wind package.

Figures are based on a rider of roughly 75 kg on a twintip board. Lighter riders drop one size, heavier riders go one up. For a first kite in our region, 9–10 m² is the most versatile choice, while strong bora calls for 6–7 m².
